TOPINDUS has recently completed a container housing project in Indonesia, delivering a total of 20 units of Prefabricated Flat Pack Container Houses for a local construction site. This project was specifically designed to provide comfortable and efficient accommodation for workers, demonstrating the practicality and flexibility of modular building solutions in real-world applications.
The client required a fast, cost-effective, and durable housing solution for their construction team. After evaluating different options, they chose Flat Pack Container Houses due to their ease of transportation, quick installation, and modular scalability.
A total of 20 units were customized and supplied by TOPINDUS. Unlike fully furnished solutions, the client opted for empty units, allowing them to independently configure the interior layout and install equipment such as beds, air conditioning, lighting systems, and sanitary facilities according to their specific needs. This approach provided greater flexibility and helped optimize overall project costs.

As shown in the project, all container houses were installed in a double-story configuration, with 10 units on the ground floor and 10 units on the upper level. This vertical stacking design maximizes land utilization, which is especially important for construction sites with limited space.
Each unit is constructed with a strong steel frame and durable wall panels, ensuring structural stability and long-term performance. The modular design allows the units to be securely connected, forming a neat and organized accommodation block.
An external staircase and corridor system provide easy access to the upper level, ensuring convenience and safety for daily use. Additionally, a sunshade canopy was installed on the top level, offering protection against harsh sunlight and heavy rain. This feature is particularly valuable in tropical climates like Indonesia, where weather conditions can be intense and unpredictable.
Transportation Advantages
One of the most significant advantages of Flat Pack Container Houses lies in their packaging and transportation method. All components—including the steel structure, wall panels, doors, windows, and accessories—are compactly packed into a single bundle.

Installation Process
The installation of Flat Pack Container Houses is designed to be simple and efficient. In this project, the use of a crane significantly accelerated the assembly process.
Before installation, it is essential to ensure that the construction site is properly prepared and has sufficient space for crane operation. A stable and level foundation must also be in place to support the structure.
Once the components arrive on site, the installation team begins by assembling the base frame, followed by the vertical columns and top frame. Wall panels, doors, and windows are then installed, completing the main structure. For multi-story configurations, cranes are used to lift and position the upper units accurately and safely.
Thanks to the modular design and precise manufacturing, each unit can be installed quickly, reducing labor time and allowing the entire project to be completed within a short timeframe. This efficiency is a key advantage for construction projects that operate under tight schedules.
